Melbourne's sovereign of sophisticated sadwave, Geoffrey O'Connor returns with a remix EP featuring tracks from his much-loved 2021 duets album reworked by Andras, June Jones and NZ's Eden Burns.
The EP includes a shimmering, chilled out Andras remix of the album title track For As Long As I Can Remember, featuring duet partner Jonnine Standish from HTRK. June Jones goes "Nuveaux-rométal" on her version of What A Scene featuring Sui Zhen, and rising NZ producer Eden Burns offers an airy, dancefloor-ready take on Foolish Enough featuring Laura Jean.
The EP artwork is a remix in itself, a painting of the original album cover by Sarah Mary Chadwick, one of Geoffrey's duet partners and an icon in her own right.
Filled with late night tales of unsublimated desire, Geoffrey's duets album For As Long As I Can Remember came out in August 2021, and was a RRR album of the week, added to Double J rotation, and covered by NME Australia, The Music and elsewhere. Geoffrey received Best Song and Best Pop Act nominations at the 2021 Music Victoria Awards.

This whole album sounds so original and refreshing. The subjects of their songs touch on so many facets of our daily lives inc going to centrelink!!! Also note that my vinyl pressing of this album is far superior than most other indie releases. Philshine

Lots of local (Australian) stuff to be found in a record well worth it for the enormity of the cause. Buy it guys, it's been a hell of a summer here in Oz. Gavin Hellyer
